[Beijing], [16th Oct] – Peak Ocean Group, Jiangsu Maritime Institute (JMI), and OPITO are proud to announce the launch of China’s first Offshore Wind Renewable Institute Program. The program, set to commence in September 2025, is designed to offer comprehensive, progressive, and practical learning experience, preparing students with the skills and knowledge necessary to support the fast-growing offshore wind energy sector.
The formal signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Peak Ocean Group, JMI, and OPITO take place on October 16, 2024, at the China Wind Power 2024 event. In the presence of guests from the Department of Vocational and Adult Education of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, the Department of Commerce and Trade of the UK government, and the Enterprise Development of the Singapore government, the President of Jiangsu Maritime Institute, CEO of the OPITO, and Chairman of PEAK OCEAN Group signed the MoU on behalf of the three parties. This collaboration highlights a shared commitment to build a future-ready talent workforce that will play a crucial role in advancing China’s carbon neutrality 2060 goals and global sustainability development efforts.

Students will be trained in practical skills that address the immediate needs of the offshore wind sector, aligning with China’s ambitious targets of net zero carbon goal.
